Hyundai has launched the new version of there small car Hyundai i10 which is 1.2 liters.

Hyundai also inaugurated the Engine and Transmission plant at its Sriperumbudur facility which coincided with the launch of 1.2-liter Hyundai Kappa i10.

The 1.2-liter Kappa engine is an aluminum block, four-cylinder engine that features double overhead cam shaft (DOHC) and breathes through 16 valves.

The new Engine and Transmission plant is a USD 250Mn facility that has a capacity of 250,000 units per annum. The 1.2 Kappa engine will also be offered with a 4-speed automatic gearbox.

The car will offer 80 PS (81 bhp), pretty good for a car this size.

The Hyundai Kappa i10 1.2L will have a 0-100 kmph figure of 12.8 seconds and a top speed of around 165 kmph.

Maruti 800 DUO is the car which runs on the petrol and LPG.

Power and Performance

The Maruti 800 Duo works on Gas Mixer System based on Integrated Gas Technology which results in optimum performance and superior emissions. The Maruti 800 Duo delivers a power of 35ps@5000 rpm and torque of 56Nm@2500 rpm. The LPG variant emits 10% lower CO2 than the petrol variant, hence is environment friendly.

Audi has unveils it new SUV in the Beijing auto show which will be in the market next year.

Audi Q5 will be offered in the US Market by only one engine and transmission combination.

Audi1 Q5 is with 3.2 liter FSI-6 engine mated with six speed Tiptronic Transmission.

Audi Q5 engine is direct injected and will produce 270hp and 243 lb-ft.

Exterior styling is very similar to the larger Q7.

Interior is also same and has the familiar were you can get the Audi feel.

The vehicle will also miss out on third-row seating, however, storage space will be close to 500L.

Honda has unveiled its new car in the Detroit Auto Show named Honda Pilot.

Honda Pilot was originally debuted as a 2003 model in July of 2002

Honda Pilot shares a platform with the ‘07 Acura MDX, starting at a lower price, with simpler features, seating 8 people.

John Mendel, executive vice president of American Honda said in a statement that The Pilot’s pioneering formula improves for 2009 by enhancing its combination of refinement and efficiency with even more traditional SUV strengths.

The current eight-passenger Pilot offers lots of versatility in seating and cargo hauling, and it appears that the next-generation model will pick up where this one leaves off.

It features a new Variable Cylinder Management system that means the engine, can run on 6, 4 or 3 cylinders.

The main change is that the engine’s horsepower has been raised from 244 to 250, and its torque rating from 240 to 253 lb. ft.

The new Honda Pilot’s body is 2.9 in. longer and 1 in. wider, with improved bending and torsional rigidity.

The ‘09 Honda Pilot is rated to get 17 mpg in the city and 23 on the highway with two-wheel drive, and 16/20 with four-wheel, an improvement over the old Pilot of 1 mpg in the two-wheel drive model and a bit more than that in the four-wheel.

The interior of the Honda Pilot is designed to provide a comfortable experience for all passengers in business class style.

Honda Pilot will range in price from $27,500 to $40,000 depending on the models.

Yamaha Motor India is aiming to demonstrate its technological prowess with the launch of DiASil Cylinder in the Indian market. Yamaha “DiASil Cylinder” is used on the new 150cc YZF-R15 which was unveiled at Auto Expo 2008 and will be released in the market later this year.

DiASil”, an abbreviation for “Die-casting Aluminum-Silicon”, is a technology which brings together an ideal combination of material, manufacturing technology and environmental friendliness. The material used is a 20% silicon content aluminum alloy, the manufacturing technology is the Yamaha CF Aluminum Die-cast Technology (*3), which enables the production of an all-aluminum die-cast cylinder.

Mr. Sanjay Tripathi, Head of Dept- Product Planning & Strategy Said in a statement that “Conventional engine cylinders have a steel liner to reduce the friction resulting from the piston’s movement. The “DiASil” cylinder is made by the exclusive Yamaha Aluminum Controlled Forging (CF) technology. Because the “DiASil” Cylinder is all aluminum, it has excellent heat dissipation qualities and reduces engine weight at the same time.

Hyundai has made its official debut with its 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe at the New York Auto Show. Hyundai says the V8 Genesis, priced in the thirties, will compete against the very highest end vehicles from Germany and Japan.

Audi AG has launched its new generation A4 sedan. It will be offered with two engine options, including the 1.8-litre turbo petrol, and the two-litre turbo diesel (TDI) engines. Audi A4 comes in two variants - A4 2.0 T and A4 3.2. Audi A4 is powered by 2.0- liter 4-cylinder FSI Direct Injection engine. Audi A4 has all-wheel drive with 6-speed manual transmission. Audi A4 2.0 T generates an output of 200hp @ 5,100-6,000 rpm and torque of 207 lb-ft @ 1800-5000 rpm.
